“giant cone-shaped sandstone hill”
A giant cone-shaped sandstone hill scored with horizontal and vertical lines. The lines cross each other and kind of form the pattern of a huge checkerboard.
its a hill with lines carved in it from run off and layers of sediment. you can see it from the car.
Great spot to stop and take a walk up the Mesa.
you can see the mesa from the car, but take a moment to stop and get up close to the land! seeing, touching, and exploring is a fun way to pass some time :)
Quite the geological wonder. You can see it from the car, but I highly recommend parking and getting up close to this incredible formation. You may even see some wildlife in the nearby washes (Big Horn sheep).
Pretty cool
