“The last of the curios!”
Last of the original Route 66 curio shops in New Mexico, don't miss it! The Tee Pee Curios is one of the only remaining curio shops in New Mexico. Starting out as a gas and grocery store in the 1940's when Route 66 was only two lanes, they lost their gas pumps with the widening of the road. When I-40 bypassed Route 66, then marked the ending of an era and many towns along the route suffered. We are honored and pleased to be open and look forward to meeting you. The Tee Pee Curios has all of your souvenir needs from Route 66 items, New Mexico, pottery, t-shirts, jewelery, postcards and more. Our neon will be on at night for you to enjoy and we welcome photographers. We also welcome locals, tourists, motorcycle groups and bus tours. Long live Route 66!
Stopped in a few weeks ago and both owners made a point to chat with me. They're trying hard to keep this Route 66 icon thriving so stop, take a picture, and BUY SOMETHING! Support your RT66 icons!
closed on sundays
Just left this cute gift shop. The owner greeted us and was very friendly. Lots of fun stuff to look at. The town around it looks very run down with so many places closed up. I hope their little shop survives. The kids bought some stone animal carvings. I got a ghostbead necklace, a blanket, and a totem energy stone. The prices were a lot cheaper than I expected. Definitely stop here if you have the chance!
Cute little shop! Owners were nice. They have a sweet dog named Kevin.
A great shop with something for everyone. Owners are friendly and extremely helpful. Purchased a sign and a Native American bracelet. Stop by and pickup a sovereign from a Route 66 shop.
Very nice little shop, lots is souvenirs. Easy off the main 40 and spend a little time in town. Worth stopping.
We stopped based on these reviews, and I wanted to support a trying business. I was intrigued by donation box at the front for the neon sign - wish I could have seen that. If you really have all the time in the world, then hop off your route and stop. They had some knick-knacks and my son got a dinosaur. But they don't have any cold drinks or restrooms so we had to rush out to meet the needs of our kids for these supplies.
Fun stop for a pic and some trinkets. The owner was nice and told us where to eat
Just added you guys to my trip. See you in April
Wish it was open when we stopped by! Still worth the photo op!
