The jungle dome is really freaking amazing! I would have loved to spend a whole day in there, but unfortunately we didn't get there until 2 or 3 hours before closing. We will definitely have to come back again(even though it's 8 hours away!) at some point with the kids. I wish we had had time to see the aquarium..

I have been here several times already. But this zoo never fails to amaze me! There's always something new whenever I go back. The biomes were really awesome. The desert, rain forests and oceans seemed so real. It's like being outdoors, but you're indoors! Now, how cool is that? And there were even animals walking right next to us. If you have a favorite animal, chances are they have it here. Expect a lot of walking, though. On the other hand, I personally believe that at the end of the day, all the walking is definitely worth it. Giving this place a visit is definitely a must!

It's been said here already and it's true. This is the best zoo in the western hemisphere. I've been to other big zoos and most tend to have more shops than animals. That is NOT the case at Henry Doorly. The number of exhibits is just unbelievable. It's even worth a trip even in the winter as there is the Lied Jungle building, the Desert Dome with Kingdoms of the Night underneath, the huge aquarium, a gorilla enclosure with adjacent primate buildings, and a big cat complex that are all inside (and more inside also). This is a must see if you are close or just driving through. Give yourself some time, there is a lot to see.

It is absolutely massive! They even have a chairlift to get from one side to the other. All in all I would highly recommend stopping in here but make sure you spend a full day as it is a lot to take in!
I was dive bombed by bats in one of the buildings!

Such a beautiful, well maintained and clean zoo! We are so happy we stopped. Loved the aquarium and the dome with the birds and owls were amazing! We missed seeing the giraffes and elephants - they were inside someone said. The walk around the zoo was great - only thing is that we didn’t have a map and signage was only ok. Finally pulled up a map on my phone and helped us exit.

This zoo and aquarium is amazing, and that's why it's consistently ranked as one of the best in the world! The zoo and aquarium covers over 160 acres, six of which are indoor exhibits, perfect for year-round adventure. It's awesome, and one of the best things you can do in Omaha!

It is a very good zoo but we definitely did it backwards. We would recommend (Especially if you have kids) to go to the right and see the aquarium, dome, elephants and giraffes 1st. Then make your way around to the play area. BRING EXTRA CLOTHES! Tons of fun places for the kids to get wet and play. I swear the play area was bigger than the rest of the zoo. (I am being a bit dramatic but seriously)

Better than the bigger zoos/more famous zoo. Really a great place to visit! My kids liked it so much they listed it as their favorite stop on our road trip.

The zoo and aquarium were great! We lived the combination of both for the price of one. The viewing areas allow for multiple angles to see the animals. The aquarium is nice and cool after being in the heat outside. The gorilla house is smelly, but it's fun to watch the gorillas in action.

I am basically repeating what has already been said... this place is amazing! The dome is awesome, desert on top and nocturnal animals underneath - big hit for the bat lovers in our family!
We were there for five hours and couldn't see everything. The Skyfari helps when you are tired of walking and you can see some animals from the sky that way. FANTASTIC ZOO!
