Layla's Bluegrass Inn

Best bar in Nashville. They always had the most original bands, not the run-of-the-mill types you get at the corporate blues bars. Plus cheaper beer prices and a better crowd! I also loved seeing a Chicago Blackhawks neon in the window, right across the street from the Predators' stadium no less!!

Been coming to Nashville for years and Layla's is a definite stop on every trip! Awesome music and lots of good people! A must!

We slowed down on our way past because of the name (our pup's name is Leila), but the second we heard the sweet sweet notes coming from inside, we knew we had to stop. The venue itself is great, long & narrow with clean bathrooms, long bar, and dancefloor if you happen to get bit by the dancing bug. The music here though, YES! Love that it's not "just another bar" with the same sounds, so refreshing and really appreciated. As new comers to Nashville, we learned quickly that the bars don't charge covers, but instead, the bands play for tips so have plenty of cash on hand to show some love to those who rock!

I don't prefer to come to Broadway when in Nashville, since everything seems a little more bland, but I like Layla's. Better prices on drinks, good vibes, unapologetically rockabilly. I even made sure to tip the band when they passed their hat around!
