“The gateway to the wilderness”
Hungry Jack Lodge is the only resort on Hungry Jack Lake. It is situated in the heart of the Superior National Forest with the journey to the lodge as one of the most beautiful in the country. The lake is sheltered with high wooded hills and palisades around its 8½ miles of shoreline. The resort is isolated on a dead end road offering the ultimate experience in peace and serenity. You can smell the clean air, hear the solitude, and taste the flavor of the wilderness. We are 32 miles from Grand Marais, 1½ miles off the Gunflint Trail, 2 miles from the Canadian Border, and less than 1 mile from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. We hope you make us your next North woods vacation destination.
great place to stay, wonderful owners, great hiking and fishing. can't wait to go back!
Great place to stay. We stayed in Fox and Beaver cabins. Both have great views. But we preferred Beaver cabin. Beds are big and comfy. Kitchens are small but perfect for what you need up here. Had a little trouble with the grills. Due to location was a little tough to use. The lodge is really nice. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We rented a canoe for half a day and paddled out on Hungry Jack to watch the sunset. They have all sorts of gear to rent and use. Didn’t eat at the restaurant but it sure smelled good all the time! WiFi is extremely limited (but we didn’t come all this way to stay connected) if that’s important to you. Rent the cabins closest to the lodge.
