Although the museum was neat, the racist African American woman who manages it taints the experience with rudeness. I overheard that she said she would never get fired no matter how she treats people because she is a black woman, and if she was fired, she would call the NAACP. I plan to call the city (who owns the museum) to complain about the way she treats guests and her attitude. All the other employees were welcoming and informative. It's worth a stop! But if you experience the same rudeness from the manager I encourage you to also call the city to complain.

Make sure you arrive by 4 pm if you want to actually tour the museum or they will not let you in. We arrived at 430 and the ladies working very rudely informed us and others just arriving that we couldn't tour the museum because they closed at 5. We still walked around and checked out all the replica buildings from the outside, the gift shop and took a picture with the huge Route 66 sign. It's great for a photo stop but I think the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum was a much better stop. The people are friendlier there and they have a much better gift shop. So basically Id make a stop here for a photo, nothing else.

Meh. Take a selfie in front of the sign and move on. The Oklahoma Route 66 Museum is more fun.

Have to pay to get in the museum but the sign out front is worth a "selfie stop" as it is really really big!

Definitely worth a stop if you're a Rt. 66 nut! :) My kids & I enjoyed it and spent probably about an hour here. It was REALLY hot (like 100+ in the shade), so we didn't walk the entire grounds. The first building/gift shop has some fun things, like sitting in a pink cadillac to "drive" down Rt. 66. There's also a short fire pole that my son just LOVED going down. The 2nd large building has some neat old cars, including a old military Jeep that is in phenomenal condition (and thrilled my Jeephers heart). The little mini-town outside is cute to poke around, but the buildings aren't really open to go in (well, they weren't in June 2021, anyway). Definitely worth a stop, even if you only take a picture of the massive Rt 66 sign out front!

The museum was a great stop! For $5 you can walk around and go into 4 museum areas. There’s also a mock town as well that you can walk through. It took about two hours to see everything. I recommend it if you’re looking for a nice stop that’s not too crowded.

The photo ooo with the Route 66 sign is worth it alone. It’s huge! I think a billboard said it’s the biggest in the world.
