World's Largest Wind Chime

OMG! So underrated. We got off the interstate to see the world's largest wind chime and we hit the jackpot. My grandkids traveling to St Louis were 8, 10 and almost 12 years old, so this was just going to be a short site seeing stop. We thought we would get a soda and stretch are legs. Well we got off the highway, followed the signs but got near the last turn and turned the wrong way. What a great mistake. We found the world's largest mailbox, the worlds largest bird cage and the worlds largest pencil. I cannot say how much fun we had. Straight down the street the other way was the wind chime and the worlds largest rocking chair. OMG, we also shopped the antique shops, had a soda, visited the corner yarn shop which had the largest knitting and crochet needles. A few blocks away was the largest golf tee and a sign for the largest pitch fork which we did not see. This is a undiscovered gem.

What an adorable town! Thanks to a review by becky2700, my friend & I planned this as our first stop on an epic road trip. We saw the largest wind chime, with the rocking chair across the street. Down the block, we ducked into a shop to see the crotchet & knitting needles, & met Jeanette, who actually knitted the merino wool to get into the Guinness book of records - what a doll. Don't forget to go into the cafe next to the wind chime - they sell chimes, and all the decor on the walls has a specific theme - I'll let you figure it out! Apparently, the "World's Largest" theme in the town is due to one resident who decided to breathe some life into the area - so glad he did!

Plan on spending a couple of hours here. The wind chime actually works! There was a place that photo shopped our picture on to the rocking chair. The maps showing where all the giant stuff is are great but outdated. There are more attractions now than were listed. The attractions listed that are away from the town are harder to find. I saw a sign for the golf tee suggesting we drive but I didn't see signs for the other father away attractions like the coin and pitchfork. I've been telling lots of people they have got to see this town. There is a lot more to do than see the giant stuff.

Fun little town of big things. Fun place to stop and take a few group photos. Go to the candy shop they are very friendly. It's about a block away from the wind chimes, behind the giant sky mailbox! Great location to get out and walk around for a bit. We didn't find a restroom but most places were closed on a Sunday.

I love that you can walk right up and ring the windchimes! As someone else mentioned, the sound of them isn’t very pretty haha But still a neat stop with beautiful landscaping! If you go behind the fence behind it, you can see the workshop where they’re building more of the “world’s largest” items and a visitors map where you can pin where you’re from. When we were there, they were working on the world’s largest golf club :)

Such a cute town, and the large wind chimes were one of our favorites! My husband rang the wind chimes, and that was neat. Also you should check out the largest rocking chair across from the chimes. Down the road the bird cage, pencil, and mailbox are also good things to see. I like the use of Scripture and uplifting words on/near the large items.

Great please to stretch your legs and see several of the “worlds largest” in a few blocks. Lots of restaurants and souvenir shops. The people are also very friendly.

This was a really cool town to stop through and stretch our legs! We were very entertained to see not only the World's Largest Windchime (the sound it makes is gorgeous, too, and we were lucky it was windy) but there's the World's Largest Pencil, Chair, Mailbox, Golf Tee, and a minion all in the town! We did not stop to eat anything here but it looked like there were options. I would highly recommend this as a stop, especially if you have children or are easily entertained!
