“The name says it all!”
The World’s Largest Rocking Chair.. One of many big things in this small town!
Eight (8) of the world's largest items as certified by Guinness, they have the certificates to prove it! If you are in the area it is worth a side trip to go check out these amazingly sized items. In the summer on Saturdays between 10 AM and 2 PM they run a free trolley that will take you around to all the items. (Really worth the time to take the trolley as some of the items are not right in town or visible unless you know where they are.)
This was the cutest little town with the biggest roadside attractions I've ever seen! Get there before 5 as the shops close early and we missed the biggest wooden shoes which are housed indoors. Great stop for lunch too.
Our favorite and most impressive of the World's Largest attractions in Casey. Very well kept. Would be cool if you could sit on it but still worth the stop. Don't forget to see the mailbox (just a 2 block walk) and the wooden shoes in the candy shop behind the mailbox. There was even a giant pencil although no mention of it being part of the World's Largest collection.
So much bigger then we expected. In such a cute little town filled with some big ticket items great for a fun impromptu photo shoot.
What a fun little town! We saw several of the large things, including the rocking chair, wind chimes, pencil, and mailbox. Definitely check out the candy store if you're in town - they have a small entry door for kids, the world's largest wooden shoes, and their dark chocolate salted caramels are delish! The people in the shop were super sweet and had a lot of knowledge about the town and all the large items. We learned that for something to be registered as the largest anything, it also has to function appropriately. We bought postcards from the candy shop and sent them from the giant mailbox - the kids thought it was really cool to see the huge flag go up once they dropped their cards in. We will absolutely be stopping there again on future road trips.
Really cool town all-around! So neat and well done construction-wise.
So glad we stopped! Not every day you see a huge a$$ chair lol!
We were there two years ago and since then, the town added more.
We had lunch next door to the chimes and then had a great cup of coffee on Main Street.
The town is trying very hard to bring tourists to town. People are very friendly and it’s a very clean area.
Grab a map and visit all the large items, you won’t be disappointed.
We have a class B, so we parked on Main Street. Class A, C and towing trailers will need to park a little away from the center of town. But it’s all walkable.
The Winnebago club was planning to go there last year, but we know how that went.
We stayed at a kOA on the other side of the highway. It was old but very clean.
Cute little town of large things!
This has been the best part of our cross-country trip so far. These "world's largest" items are amazing! Must see!
