“Built in 1921 in a Pueblo Revival style”
Mesa Verde Administrative District is a set of six National Park Service buildings within Mesa Verde National Park, constructed in 1921 in a Pueblo Revival Style architecture. The Park Service buildings were declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987. The 1921 buildings are significant as the first constructed by the National Park Service "based on cultural traditions represented in the park area", the pueblo revival style, to fit in and to enhance interpretation by visitors of the park area. The landmark buildings include: National Park Headquarters, Museum, Post Office, Ranger Dormitory, Superintendents Residence, Community Building
I think it's really neat to see something that's historic, but not built by Puebloans. The building is well preserved and super cool looking-- you don't need to be an architecture buff to appreciate it
