We loved this park, would definitely go back. The falls are gorgeous. Be sure to find the huge swimming hole where adventurous kids were jumping off 20 foot rocks.
Beautiful little park, with charming bridge built by the federal government.
Something that you cannot miss while visiting Bellingham is Whatcom Falls Park. It is the most popular tourist destination in town. Covering more than 241 acres, the park later turned into a community.
We were mesmerized by the stunning beauty of woodlands, waterfalls, and extraordinary scenery found here. An old stone bridge, that is now covered with moss, grabs all the attention when you enter the park. Once inside the park, you will find plenty of spots to take pictures for your Instagram fam.
From hiking trails and fish hatchery to BBQ grills and Whatcom Creek, this park offers everything.
We think a visit here is one of the best things to do in Bellingham!
If you ever get to Bellingham you have to check out Whatcom Falls Park. Great area to forest bathe.
Beautiful destination. Absolutely wonderful
Whatcom Falls is a restorative place to stretch your legs and lose yourself in nature. You can either walk across the stone bridge (a WPA project - beautiful in itself), or you can find one of the lesser footpaths to walk down to the base of the falls. From there, you can trek your way under the bridge for both a look up at the falls or down the river. There's also a water chute that made me think of how fun it would be to use it as s slide down into the river.
It's an easy five-minute drive off of I-5 if you're heading from Seattle to Vancouver.
We love the tranquility that covers this park. I can bring my family here over and over again.
