Comfort Suites South -- Amarillo

I made my reservations a month in advance with Comfort Suites South. As we left Estes Park, CO we called the hotel to confirm the reservation and a late check in. When we arrived at 11 pm, we were informed that they had overbooked and had accidentally given our reservation away. Comfort Suites made no attempt to contact us prior to 11 pm of the mistake and offered no solution for other accommodations that was equitable to the reservation. We left and had to drive an additional 2 hours to Lubbock. We stayed at a Days Inn. Good price and nice room. We called the main manager in the morning at Comfort Suites to make sure my credit card would not be charged. The two managers from the previous day had not informed her of the incident at all. She said she would do a follow-up call this week; I still have not heard from her. Word of advice: Avoid Comfort Suites. Avoid Amarillo, TX.

The Comfort Suites’s big plus is its location, the access is very easy from the highway. The whole hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. Our room had the best bed and pillows, i slept even better than i sleep at my home! The staff was courteous and kind. The breakfast was great with hot and fresh coffee! The price was reasonable for what they provided. They had a great fitness center and a big indoor swimming pool that you have to try if you get there. I spent two really great days there and i'm looking forward for a next visit soon!
