Tiger Safari is located just 20 mins South west of OKC. Tiger Safari has the largest selection of Exotic & domestic animals for your Zoo to You Needs!
The Tiger Safari Zoological Park was founded in 2002 and officially opened its doors in 2003, making the Zoo the second Privately Owned Zoo in the Oklahoma Area with Large Carnivores. The Zoo’s original animal collection was very small, originally consisting of just a few Tigers and lions grizzly and Black bear, Six Deer, Six Lemurs, two Coatmundi, a hyena, Two Alligators, and four birds, The Zoo was founded on 45 acres Just outside the Tuttle City Limits.
We have brought an authentic African Village to Oklahoma . Staying on the cutting edge of leisure getaways, the Tiger Safari Zoological Park developed the Shi-Awela Safari village, Shi-Awela meaning “a peaceful place of rest”.
This secluded African safari village will include two authentic African bush huts circling a small lagoon, authentic African-style landscaping with thorn trees, and natural veldt (long grass). Inside the African Hut, you are surrounded by authentic African décor.
This is a small but hands on animal/zoo experience. Tigers, monkeys, reptiles, kangaroos, exotic birds etc. You can pay extra to feed the animals as you walk through. The tiger feed was a neat experience. Picnic areas and they are currently expanding more buildings. We enjoyed it.
