“adventure park, garden, carousel and more”
Heritage Museums & Gardens is the largest public garden in Southern New England. It is located on 100 acres of magnificent grounds and trails on the banks of Shawme Pond in Historic Sandwich. Are you ready for the best climbing and zip line that Massachusetts has to offer? The Adventure Park provides family fun for ages 7 and up. This aerial forest adventure is fun, exciting and safe for all participants. We provide a harness and equipment and give you a safety briefing that demonstrates how to climb and zip line in the park. There are 5 separate trails of varying levels of difficulty. Each trail has zip lines but primarily consist of “bridges” between tree platforms made of rope, cable and wood configurations creating over 65 unique challenges. You will develop skills, endurance, and confidence during your time in the Park. Trained Adventure Park staff members monitor the Park and are there to assist if needed. The popular Splash area in Hidden Hollow™ will be enhanced through the addition of a dramatic waterfall and discovery streams where children can explore water flow, measurement, and evaporation, and conduct “sink or float” experiments. The carousel is one of the most popular attractions at Heritage Museums & Gardens. Made by Charles Looff in 1908, the antique hand-carved carousel has been thrilling riders for a hundred years. Enjoy unlimited rides with admission.
