“Located along the Sol Duc River in magnificent Olympic National Park”
Located along the Sol Duc River in magnificent Olympic National Park, Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is on the “edge of the backcountry in the heart of the Olympic National Park” with hot spring pools and access to many hiking trails.
I stayed in A13 and it was massive. It had the river just beyond the edge of the site. The area is too beautiful for words. There is at least one racoon that is feisty and will take ANYthing it can get its hands on. A woman's purse was stolen, he tried to taje my lighter fluid. Don't leave anything unattended. I wish i had spent all of my vacation in this campground. Maybe even plan to visit the resort next time!
A few miles off the beaten path and you come to this beauty. Super easy check-in. Large spots. Dump station just a few hundred yards past the campsite made things easy as well.
I stayed in the most beautiful campsite I've ever seen here. Right in the middle of the rain forest, and a short walk from Sul Duc Falls!
With three major ecosystems and almost a million acres to choose from, Olympic National Park is filled with possibilities. Olympic National Park is a land of beauty and variety. Created in 1938 to protect the Roosevelt elk, primeval forest and wild coast, the park encompasses nearly a million acres. A few days of exploration take you from breathtaking mountain vistas with meadows of wildflowers to colorful ocean tide pools or early homestead cabins. Nestled in the valleys are some of the largest remnants of ancient forests left in the country. Trees here can tower 300 feet tall, and the forests range from the westside's lush temperate rain forest to dry, fire-shaped eastside forests.
