“scaled down replicas of classic cars!”
Ernie Adams, originator of the dwarf car, has made a name for himself building Dwarf Race Cars and scaled down replicas of classic cars called Dwarf Car Cruisers. These handmade works of art now have a home in Maricopa, Arizona. Admission is free but call ahead! There are no set hours.
Best pit stop ever. It was 5 miles out of our way but we loved it. It’s at the persons house in the middle of a desert then down a small dirt road, we were a little skeptical driving in but pushed forward. So glad we did. The owner and builder was hard at work building a new car. He stoped to talk to us and was very friendly. We had two young boys with us and they enjoyed it a lot, highly recommend this stop.
Oh my. You must make the trip. The cars were amazing and Ernie’s shop is filled with many items of nostalgia. I’ve never seen a Campbell’s soup dispenser but Ernie has one. Right outside the shop is a rather run down pick up that he’s made to look like Mater from the movie Cars. What a treasure and he allows people to come take a look to enjoy his passion. You’ll be glad you went.
These guys are awesome. All the cars are perfect to scale dwarf cars. They take the time to make the cars perfect and for no one else but their own.
