Since we started RVing 10 years ago we have been staying at Boyd's at least once every year.. Never a bad moment and staff always goes out of their way to accommodate. Best thing is close to Key West, even take a city bus right outside the gate. This saves the parking hassle and gives a great Key West flavor to the ride. You get to see the other side of the island where the locals live. We found some great shops and restaurants that we would have missed if not for taking the bus.

This place is super nice. Pool was clean and cool in July. I booked an inland site to save some money, should have gone waterfront. They truly are a resort. They launch and pull your boat if you have one. Game room, laundry, clean shower houses. The staff is some of the most accommodating I have ever worked with. They are super organized and quick at check in, even on a holiday weekend. I rated 4 stars only because the sites are small. They are exactly the width of my slide out to my awning. I am bush to bush. The landscaping made backing in a bit of a hassle. It's tight! This is a top notch facility, luxury camping. However they do what many are doing and surcharge children at $5 each per night. I am sure this on is water related but I hate that my small children cost extra. Very close to Key West. If you have an RV do not plan on taking it site seeing in key west. You will need a taxi.

Stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of March 2015. The staff were absolutely wonderful! We added a night when we arrived and we had to change sites for that last night. When the time came to do so someone had parked their car in our tent site. The front desk staff were so willing to help and tracked down who the car belonged to and had them move it. It all took about 30 minutes to rectify. All of the facilities were great, just remember to bring shower shoes. We will definitely stay here again the next time we need a winter break!

The camping experience is great and the amenities are good enough for camping.

There is one issue that made the experience terrible and it has to do with an older and taller employee. My wife and I needed to get some work done around 5 am in the morning and so there were some tables by the game room to sit down. The man was watching TV and doing nothing else in the game room and we asked if we can sit by the tables outside of the game room. The man's character was very nasty towards us and as I asked multiple questions, he was very rude and kept telling us to come back because the game room opens at 11 am, which didn't make sense since a sign said the game room opens at 8 am and the tables to sit down weren't outside away from the game room. He kept repeating the same thing with a negative tone towards us, possibly because we were a lot younger than he was. We had to find a shower room to work inside as he would not allow us to do our work anywhere else.

The camp may have been wonderful but how an employee treats their customers is what determines the greatness of any camp. We shall never be returning here again.

We stayed for one night last minute when our original site was overbooked and they were very accommodating. The site was beautiful and well maintained. Everyone was friendly. Nice facilities, game area, tiki with big screen tv, pool, laundry, hot showers, kayak rentals, and even a gift shop with a section to travel necessities.
