With 55 acres of long sandy beaches, rocky coves, shady forested areas and panoramic lake views, Sand Harbor offers visitors unparalleled opportunities to enjoy Lake Tahoe. Sand Harbor is three miles south of Incline Village on State route 28. No areas operated by the Division of State Parks are clothing optional per NRS 201.220. The Sand Harbor visitor center and gift shop is available for self-guided tours with informative displays and regional information. A snack bar and grill concession offers snacks and drinks on a relaxing, shady deck. Sand Harbor Main Beach: May 1 – Memorial Day, 8 am-7 pm; day after Memorial Day – Labor Day, 8 am – 9 pm; day after Labor Day – September 30, 8 am – 7 pm; October 1 through April 30, 8 am-5 pm. Gently sloping beaches, crystal-clear water and interesting rock formations allow for wonderful swimming and scuba diving. Beach Patrol is on duty from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Located in the shade of the cedars and Jeffrey pines, the picnic area offers a peaceful retreat from the busy beaches. Each site is equipped with a barbecue and picnic table. Paved walkways make the area accessible to persons with disabilities.
Such a beautiful place! Came in the beginning of October, water was cold but you can still swim maybe it's better to come during the summer for sure. Kayaking it's a little expensive and you have to pay for parking entrance on top of that $12 if you're out of state, $10 nv state. Amazing amazing place. Coming back for sure! Next time though will bring my own kayak. ;)
