Just checked in late last night. Renting a deluxe cabin tohave the shower and bath. The place is well done, clean, and has most everything. You have to stock towels, and bedding, and there is no closet, so bring a rack, or fold up clothes. Cold ac, comfy beds, I'll post more when I explore today😁
Loved this campground! We were in a 2 week road trip and stayed at many different campgrounds, this was by far our favorite. Very clean, very well managed, great amenities. Will definitely be going back.
Hersheypark campground was a great stop for anyone going to Hershey park/Chocolate world. The campground was clean and easy to access. Especially useful was the free shuttle to and from the parks (which are only a mile away from this campground). It was so easy to come back midday to eat/rest and then go back to park in the evening for more fun. Laundry facility clean and accessible. Pool large. Store great. Definitely great savings to purchase park tix at campground ($44 dollars instead of $62 for adult tix). Kids LOVED the parks, couldn't believe how much their is to do in these parks (our kids are 4,6,8 and this was perfect for them). As far as chocolate world, I would skip the 4D movie and chocolate tasting, but the make your own chocolate and trolley rides were a blast. Really great experience overall all. Only thing is that their is a train track right next to the site so if you are a light sleeper ask for a site as far from the tracks as possible cause train runs throughout the night and early morning.
Hersheypark campground is a fun stop for those interested in the amusement park and other attractions as it is conveniently close and offers a shuttle. The restrooms are clean and air conditioned and on site laundry is available which is a luxury for road trippers. We found the staff to be very friendly and there is plenty to do for the kids...games, activities, swimming, and an arcade.
The camping sites are small and the one we were assigned barely fit our tent. Upon looking at the camper sites, there was little space between them as well. With that many people (it's a high tourist attraction) do not expect much peace and quiet...few had camping etiquette including quiet hours. It was also pricey, approximately $60/night.
What’s the best part of camping in your teeny weeny trailer? Making s’mores over the campfire — with Hershey bars, of course! Hersheypark, one of our favorite theme parks anywhere, boasts a deluxe campground where you can park your teeny weeny trailer while you shuttle your way over to the 12 roller coasters (talk about terrifying!). Even better, the Spa at the Hotel Hershey is heaven. I mean, like, died and gone to chocolate heaven. There’s nothing better when you’re kind of gross from camping than soaking in a whipped cocoa bath with a rubber ducky. Or getting a chocolate body scrub. Or a chocolate facial. Need I go on?
