As a four year old Mark was intrigued with Cleveland and its skyline; when asked in preschool what he is thankful for, Mark replied, “The Terminal Tower.” Mark’s fascination with all things urban continued as he pursued degrees in urban planning and traveled to more than 70 countries staying in over 100 hostels worldwide. Mark saw a need for a hostel in the city he loves and is thrilled to offer travelers, volunteers, and sightseers on a budget, clean, affordable and social accommodations.
Stayed here in 2016 and would never again. We booked a private room with a bathroom. First of all, the door did not lock. We could not get a hold of anyone to remedy this so we put a chair under the door knob while we slept. The bed was the worst, most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. The bathroom was not clean. The toilet had urine and feces under the toilet seat and dripping down the bowl. The shower had pubic hair in it and massive soap scum. I will say that the rooftop was nice with a great view. We enjoyed that until a bunch of obnoxious drunk guys from a bachelor party arrived and pestered us and urinated in all the potted plants. Needless to say, I do not recommend this place.
Great place to stay for a night or two. I stayed with my two kids and it was a great facility, the people were great and our room was comfy. The only reason j gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was the location seemed a bit iffy, but I'm not sure if that was because of the construction going on in front of the building, or if it was just not a great neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again though!
I stayed with a friend in a private room for one night. It was our first ever stay in a hostel - I will do it again! The view from the roof was wonderful, the kitchen/common area was welcoming and lovely. We were surprised to find some beds in our room did not have bedding on them, but it wasn't a huge deal. Staff was friendly and helpful - an incident-free stay. Thanks!
