“filming location for Friday the 13th!”
ATTENTION: This is private property. Please do not trespass. Non scouting visitors will be asked to leave or the state police will be called. Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, also known as NoBe, is a Boy Scouts of America camp located in Hardwick Township, New Jersey, owned by the Northern New Jersey Council. It opened in 1927. In 1979, the first Friday the 13th movie was filmed here, and has become a major part of NoBe's history. The camp was the main filming location, and many of the structures are still the same. The movie spawned countless sequels, and practically invented the slasher horror film genre, inspiring Freddy Krueger (who he later fought) as well as future movie killers. Camp Crystal lake was originally said to be in NJ (where the original was actually filmed) but subsequent movies claim the camp is located in CT (where the 2nd film was shot). The camp is private property of the Boy Scouts of America and is NOT open to non-Scout visitors.
Michael Myers actually inspired the original Friday the 13th, not the other way around. Halloween came out in 1978, Friday the 13th came out in 1980.
I think it’s kind of messed up that they won’t even do tours. What scumbags
This is an active boy scout camp, not open to general public. Camp office is not open 24 hours, please do not call camp phone number to ask for a tour.
hi there Camp Crystal lake is Jason Voorhees by yous I just want to know cause I am a huge fan of him cause I like his horror movies ! I would like to speak with him
Best way is just to sneak in and when people ask you to leave you do
Wow what scummy people .. well it is Boy Scouts of America .. they are scummy for a plethora or reasons. But not allowing tours? that is ridiculous. They could rake in so much money for the BSA if they had a couple times a month during the off seasons to give tours of the grounds and filming locations .. stupid stupid move on BSA's part
I would love to go there because of Jason
I LOVE FRIDAY THE 13TH AND DONUTS
They were saying that the Friday the 13th movies inspired Freddy in the Nightmare on Elm Street sequels and that Freddy and Jason have their own fight in Freddy vs. Jason.
I love. them Jason is a. biggest fan. of mine
