“Rebel integrity drives our defiant beer”

Founded December 2012, Wicked Weed Brewing is a brewpub which specializes in west coast style hoppy ales, open fermented belgian beers and barrel ages sours. King Henry VIII declared hops “A wicked and pernicious weed” destined to ruin beer. Independent brewers were driven by their rebel integrity to defy the king, embrace the hop and create beer for the untamed palate. Today, rebel integrity drives our defiant beer.At Wicked Weed Brewing we craft big-flavor, hop-forward beers that push our creative boundaries. We believe in the wildness of beer, its’ nonconformist attitude, its’ ability to resist being tamed. To those who do not conform and will not be tamed, we raise a pint to you and ask that you join the rebellion. Cheers!

If you are a beer lover you should absolutely visit this place in Asheville. They have tons of great craft beers on tap to chose from. I went with their house IPA and it was great, strong but not too hoppy. They have giant garage-door like windows that open up to nice weather so the entire restaurant gets an outdoors feel to it. The food was probably my favorite part. I was craving a burger and theirs did not disappoint. The house chips with home-made french onion dip are also a must for an appetizer.

This building used to be a car shop 10 years ago, and while they've kept the awesome garage doors to open up the space, everything else has wonderfully changed. Their seasonal and special occasion beers, like their fruity V-Day beer, are all awesome! Stay for a meal if you can to try their bison burger and calamari. Wicked Weed is definitely an Asheville must.

Delicious beer, attentive staff. Thanks to reviews, we stopped for a deliciously crafted beer that quenched our thirst and tickled our palette.

This place serves up some really great food, and even better beer. If the weather is nice, they open up the huge front doors and let the sun in.

Try their burgers and the house IPA!

A fantastic brewery with multiple levels of beer drinking fun and fire lit outdoor space. A must visit in Asheville. The Pearfigt IPA was a delicious surprise and well worth giving a shot.

Check out the funkatorium where they have a stellar canapés menu. We tried the flight as you get to taste some new and unique blends. The star of the show was Nolte Blueberry Chipotle Stout – a dark stout with a dry finish, and slight spicy and smooth undertones without being sour or fruity — delicious!

Beer nerds flock to Asheville like flies to honey, and one of the first stops, almost always, is Wicked Weed, Asheville's best and most ambitious brewery. While the downstairs tasting room with more than 20 drafts is certainly reason enough to stop in (don't miss the Freak of Nature Double IPA), the 200-plus-seat restaurant on the main level pumps out some seriously delicious pub grub. Dig into a fried chicken sandwich with funky house-fermented kimchi, or a seared Carolina bison burger, served rare and topped with sharp blue cheese coleslaw. Stumble a few blocks west and you'll wander upon the Funkatorium, an offshoot bar and barrel-aging house serving salty small bites (pickles, charcuterie and cheese boards) alongside Wicked Weed's revered wild and sour ales.
