“the maker of Breaking Bad's 'blue meth'”
Breaking Bad blue candy (The blue meth from the show was made by the candy lady) The iconic Candy Lady has been around for over 30 years, Home of the Breaking Bad Blue Ice Candy among other numerous Chocolate Confections, Homemade Fudge, Brittle, Truffles and Caramels. The Candy Lady began her climb to fame when she released her scandalous chocolates, then later when she produced the prop for the first two seasons of "Breaking Ba,." We specialize in local Southwest flavors like Green and Red chili brittles and piñon caramels.
Check out other stores in Old Town like Guerrilla Graphix for MUCH more reasonably priced breaking bad souvenirs and gifts. At Candy Lady a t-shirt was $35 and baseball cap was $40!???
Cute shop, blue meth is $1 packages, pretty nice :)
Great little shop. Super sweet lady!
Heard she had to move shop cause she was getting so busy! The candy tastes really really good though. Great spot for Breaking Bad memorabilia!
Very friendly and lots of choices!
We visited on 7/21/17. Such a neat little shop in Old Town Albuquerque. Friendly lady, especially considering she is the brains behind Walter White's alias on Breaking Bad! Who knew that rock candy looks like crystal meth? (I didn't!!) Anyways, the owner went out of her way to be sure my 15 year old son and I felt welcome and had ample samples of her wide array of candies & fudge. Highly recommend!!
We can't say enough good things about The Candy Lady. We stopped here for one of our clues on our Family Amazing Race out west. The sweet older lady behind the counter was immediately interested in our kiddos and helped them complete their task to get their next clue. She allowed us to sample so many good things and was so interactive with our kids. We were allowed to go back and take a picture with the blue candy and Jesse and Walt. She allowed our kids to use the private bathroom when "an emergency" arose and followed us out to take pictures. Definitely stop here and try the Peanut Butter snack, coconut bon bone, coffee chocolate bar and the red chile truffle!!!!
Cute shop, nice people, grab a bag of crystal while you're there.
The shop is a little hard to get to because parking is scarce. We parked down the street and it wasn't a far trek. Definitely worth the stop, though. The lady was super nice and we bought little bags of "meth" for $1. I wish we could have bought more of her candies because they all looked delicious! We were afraid they would melt in the car because it is summer!
