“Get your kicks at the 66!”
50's style Diner on Historic Route 66. Features Burgers, Blue Plate Specials and Albuquerque's Best Milkshakes. Our much photographed, internationally known restaurant is a hit with locals and tourists alike. Blue plate specials, a full soda fountain, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a swingin' jukebox, you're sure to "get your kicks" at the 66 Diner.
Came here as the next stop on our trip from Miami to California on Route 66. We were not disappointed! Called in our order for takeout due to the covid 19 situation. Restaurant was empty as can be but we received quality service and great food. Amazing strawberry milkshake (so so good), we had a plain burger with fries and a bacon cheeseburger with coleslaw. Cooked to perfection, Cole slaw was perfectly made, the bun for the burger wasn’t drenched in grease when you picked it up. Simply perfect. This was a great flip side to our burger and top sirloin meal from earlier today at The Big Texan restaurant. The could learn a thing or two from this place. Keep doing the thing 66 Diner! We will definitely be back for breakfast in the morning! <3
Went here for burger & shakes & it was so good we went back for malt the next morning! The Route 66 burger is fantastic & the chocolate malt was delicious!
Stopped at The 66 Diner for first meal in Albuquerque on a chance and will go back every time we are in town
Loved the atmosphere here, and tasty shakes.
great food friendly waiters overall great experience
Close to my apartment! Not bad! Like the shake!
Fabulous! Service was amazing, atmosphere terrific, all around fantastic!! Highly recommend! Very nostalgic, great going back to the 50’s and 60’s!!!
Milk Shake a really good. All familly were happy
AMAZING!! we didn't know what to expect from this place but it was fantastic. Very nice food with a huge range and the prices are low low low, which makes it easier to leave a big tip for the good job they are doing keeping this place running. From the retro exterior to the old school juke box inside that takes a quarter per play this place is every bit of what I'd expect a dinner from years gone by to look like.
Great atmosphere and excellent service, but food was just OK. Worth a stop if you are following Rt 66. Was here in Oct 2019
